The Tulip Trade Event, the annual open days for the global tulip industry, will run between 13-15 March, 2024 with 12 tulip bulb export companies across the west and northwest of the Netherlands offering behind the scenes looks . The event’s opening ceremony will be held at bulb exporter VWS Flower Bulbs in Broek op Langedijk on Wednesday afternoon 13 March with a Hongyue Horticultural Corporation rep from China at the forefront of celebrations.
The Tulip Trade Event, launched in 2016, is an initiative of the participating tulip exporters, who became aware that their international customers lacked a well-organised opportunity to acquire an overarching view of what is currently on offer in the Netherlands.
The three-day event will offer green professionals from home and abroad to connect with the Dutch tulip community, discover the latest breeding breakthroughs, experience the latest trends and exchange new business ideas. Tulip Trade Event will also focus on automation, robotisation, quality management, and growing tulips on water.
During the event each of the now twelve participating companies will set up their own miniature tulip show and trials.
This year, participating companies include: P. Aker, Amsonia, Boots Flowerbulbs, Borst Bloembollen, BOT Flowerbulbs, Haakman Flowerbulbs, Holland Bulb Market, P. Nelis, Nord Lommerse, C. Steenvoorden, VWS Flowerbulbs and Jan de Wit en Zonen.
