Royal Van Zanten returns to IFTF and Trade Fair Aalsmeer to showcase its autumn collection of spray and santini Chrysanthemums

This week, Royal Van Zanten’s stands C1.03 and 5.18 at the IFTF show and Trade Fair Aalsmeer respectively will be buzzing with flower professionals as they gather to view the company’s Autumn Collection of spray and santini Chrysanthemums, boasting five colourful varieties, each known for long vase life and quality.

The autumn season is ideal to incorporate Chrysanthemums in a bouquet or arrangement. Dutch based ornamental plant breeder and propagator Royal Van Zanten has put together a collection of spray and Santini Chrysanthemums specially for the autumn period. Red, orange and yellow hues are in the forefront. The collection consists of ‘Haydar Yellow’ and ‘Haydar’, both a two-toned variety, the fire brigade red ‘Bontempi’ and the varieties ‘Melissa’ and ‘Melissa Red’. The latter two can be identified by their full red and orange blossoms, with a green centre.

All the varieties feature a long vase life and transport very well. This means that with the right care, a consumer can enjoy their chrysanthemums for up to two weeks. Another characteristic of these varieties is their great colour retention. ‘Haydar’, ‘Haydar Yellow’, ‘Bontempi’, ‘Melissa’ and ‘Melissa Red’ do very well in a mono bouquet but are of course also beautiful as bouquet fillers.

While Royal Van Zanten is among the most reputable Chrysanthemum breeders in the world, the company has also earned a name in breeding and propagation of other cut flowers such as Alstroemeria, Statice, Limonium, and Bouvardia, and pot plants such as Aster, Alstroemeria, Celosia, potted Chrysanthemum and Multiflora. RVZ’s entire  product range will be in the IFTF and Trade Fair Aalsmeer limelight.
