The International Seed Organisation (ISF) in association with the Dutch association for the plant reproduction material sector (Plantum) has chosen the Netherlands to host the World Seed Congress. Organised annually, the congress will take place in the vibrant city of Rotterdam  between 27-29 May, 2024. ISF today announced that King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands will attend the congress’ Opening Plenary on Monday 27 May.

2024 marks a historic year for ISF as the organisation celebrates its centenary. A hundred years ago, visionary seeds men convened to standardise commercial seed exchange and promote international collaboration to support the increased international global seed movement. The moment marked the beginning of what would become the voice of the global private seed industry.

The Netherlands, a plant breeding, propagation, and international seed trading powerhouse, will bring together 2,000 seed professionals and 200 companies from all corners of the world for business, trading, exhibition, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.

How to register

The 2024 World Seed Congress will be held at Rotterdam’s Ahoy convention centre from May 27 until 29, 2024 and places can be booked via the organisation’s website until 17 May.
