MC: Dr Ing. Pietro Elisei
Pietro Elisei is an experienced urban and regional planner, skilled in sustainable development, strategic planning, urban planning, feasibility studies, mixed-use and policy design (focussed on urban regeneration). He has a strong interest in city related business development having graduated from University of Rome “La Sapienza”, and holds a doctorate in urban policy design from University of Roma 3 alongside post doc activities from both Roma 3 and university of Roma 2 (Tor Vergata). Pietro is currently managing director of Urbasofia (www.urbasofia.eu), as well as an EC UIA (urban innovative actions) expert, EC URBACT expert. He is the former planum.net secretary general and current ISOCARP President.
Peter Massini
Peter is an experienced green infrastructure strategist, policy-maker and practitioner. Following a 30-year career working for environmental NGOs, government agencies and London government he established his own practice – Future Nature Consulting – in 2021. He advises both public and private sector clients on the policy and practice of green infrastructure, nature-based solutions, urban greening and biodiversity conservation in the urban environment. He also works as an Associate Technical Director for the London Wildlife Trust Consultancy and a part-time lecturer at Greenwich University teaching the ecology module to students of Landscape Architecture. He is a member of Urban Design Learning’s Environmental Design Review Panel.
Peter was the green infrastructure policy lead at the Greater London Authority between 2008 and 2020. He successfully embedded a policy framework (including the first citywide Urban Greening Factor) in the London Plan and the London Environment Strategy and ensured green infrastructure objectives were incorporated into the Mayor’s Transport Strategy and other Mayoral policy frameworks and programmes. This has resulted in widespread implementation of nature-based solutions across London to address climate change, public health, biodiversity conservation and other sustainable development objectives.
Lyne Mousseau
Lyne is the Head of the Environmental Services Division in Saint-Lazare, where she initially served as a project manager. She holds a master’s degree in environmental sciences and a postgraduate diploma in environmental education from the Université du Québec à Montréal. Her work mainly involves proposing and participating in the implementation of policies, action plans and by-laws aimed at greening the city, protecting natural environments, raising public awareness and passing on knowledge with the aim of preserving the quality of our living environment while adapting to climate change.
