Busy aisles at the 2023 SIVAL show.

SIVAL, France’s premier commercial plant cultivation show, will return to the Parc des Expositions in Angers, France, between 16-18 January 2024.

Lazy, hazy days of summer are here. Still, French event organiser Destination Angers is working hard preparing for the 37th edition of the SIVAL trade show, which offers attendees plenty of new products and services and a top-notch educational programme. True to tradition, the Parc des Expositions convention centre will be the event venue of choice.

SIVAL is one of France’s iconic agricultural trade shows. Last year, it attracted 703 exhibitors from home and abroad and 25,000 professional visitors.

This year the show’s tagline is ‘The future of plant production starts here’. A future will be increasingly marked by international collaboration, fostering curiosity, perspective, knowledge sharing and learning.

SIVAL organisers have inked a partnership agreement with the horticultural community in Senegal. At next year’s show, they will disclose the venue and dates of the Sival Senegal show, bringing a breadth of knowledge and skillsets to green professionals in France and Senegal.

The French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs has proclaimed 2023 as the France-Quebec Year of Innovation. As such, the 2024 SIVAL show will welcome a large contingent of industry representatives and dignitaries from Quebec.

SIVAL 2024 will focus on climate change, with many conferences on the subject.

Occupying pride of place are the show’s Innovation and Agreen Startup Concours. The latter enables projects to receive development grants, thus reinforcing the aim of promoting innovation in the different sectors to help agriculture answer societal expectations.

Buoyed by its success, the SIVAL intends to build on this growth for its next edition by paying particular attention to the visitor’s experience throughout the show.
