Jungle Talks’ Mastercourse Floriculture will be back in bloom this autumn. Between 20 October and 8 November, 15 young horticultural professionals between the ages of 25 and 40 will embark on an intense fortnightly programme that includes farm tours, high-level networking, and inspirational sessions from lead strategic partners in the Netherlands.

Now in its tenth year, Pro Manager Mastercourse Floriculture connects future floricultural leaders from around the globe with the big names in agtech, growing media, biocontrols, sustainable cropping, post-harvest, contemporary plant pots, marketing, and packaging.

The 2024 Autumn edition of Pro Manager Mastercourse Floriculture will occur between 28 October and 8 November 2024, coinciding with the IFTF in Vijfhuizen and Trade Fair Aalsmeer.

The Pro Manager Mastercourse Floriculture has evolved. When it debuted in 2014, it primarily focused on what happens inside the greenhouse and how to optimise growth, production, quality, and yields.

Soon after, organisers Ed Smit and Renee Snijders embedded robotisation and AI into the course. More recently, as social and political pressures affect corporate strategy and performance, the Mastercourse Floriculture helps students better understand the political and social context in which the ornamental horticulture industry operates.

The intensity of the two-week course fosters strong team camaraderie, and the connections made with peers from around the globe could lead to new friendships or future business partners.

The Pro Manager Mastercourse also offers one of the course delegates to be crowned the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) Young International Grower of the Year at the 2025 IPM Essen show in Germany.

In the run-up to the Grand Finale in January 2025, Jungle Talks and AIPH have joined forces to host several National Young Grower of the Year contests in association with trade bodies Asocolflores in Colombia, the Kenya Flower Council in Kenya, and Veiling Holambra in Brazil.

National award-winners automatically qualify for Mastercourse Floriculture and the pre-selected process for the 2025  Young International Grower of the Year Awards.

Entrance for the Jungle Talks Pro Manager Mastercourse Floriculture is now open for future industry captains aged between 25 and 40 who are on track to or are already part of their company’s board of directors. And powering the spark within the next generation of horticulturists are today’s leaders, including AIPH, Koppert, Viscon, Chrysal, Klasmann-Deilmann, Krimpen, Floramedia, Bunnik Creations, Logiqs, Plant Empowerment, Koppert Cress, and FloraCulture International – as media partner.
