Forward your floriculture career – plus try to win the crown for International Young Grower of the Year

WESTLAND, Netherlands: Fundamental changes have taken place in horticulture during the pandemic chaos, and with the onset of digital disruption, the relationship between producer and consumer is changing dramatically. The third edition of Jungle Talks’ Pro Manager Mastercourse Floriculture aims to bring future business leaders in touch with current industry leaders.

The Pro Manager Mastercourse is a 14-day programme from 24 January until 4 February 2022, including touring industry leaders in the Netherlands and Germany. It aims to allow horticultural professionals to connect with peers from around the globe, make new friends and potential new business partners.

In addition, The Pro Manager Mastercourse organisers, Jungle Talks, team up with the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) for the inaugural award ‘Young International Grower of the Year’. Participants will have a chance to pitch to the jury at the International Grower of the Year event during IPM Essen – the world’s leading trade fair for horticultural professionals.

The fortnight programme includes educational farm tours, meetings and inspirational sessions from lead strategic partners, including Koppert Biological Systems, Dümmen Orange, Ridder, Hortilux Schrèder, Logiqs, Horticoop, Lets Grow, HortiXS, Van Krimpen and Van der Valk SystemsView more information about the program here

These partnerships guarantee a high-level visit program and give participants ample opportunity to network with horticultural leaders at the CEO level. In addition, participants will need to work out their vision on the future of horticulture and the role of their own company during this course. Based on the visits, meetings, inspirational sessions and feedback of peers and leading floricultural CEO’s, they return to their own country and company, ready to make a difference.

The working language during the course is English, and floricultural managers from around the globe are welcome to apply. In previous years, young horticultural professionals have joined from the USA, Guatemala, Brazil, Colombia, Kenya, Uganda, Slovenia, Denmark and Vietnam.

The deadline for application is Friday 31 October. A selection procedure follows your application, and by Monday 15 November, the chosen managers will be part of the forthcoming Mastercourse. If selected, participation in the Pro Manager Master Course costs 1,250 Euro and does not include travel costs and lodging. The application form can be downloaded here.
