LISSE, the Netherlands: To celebrate the 33rd Dutch Horticultural Entrepreneur Awards, Dutch TV weatherman, Peter Kuipers Munneke, will be the keynote speaker. Being held January 6, 2019 at the world’s most famous Spring Gardens Keukenhof, the awards represent the highest accolade in Dutch horticulture.
TV weatherman, climate scientist and meteorologist Kuipers Munneke will touch on the causes and effects of global warming and the challenge climate change poses for horticultural entrepreneurs.
Four finalists have been announced as possible winners of this prestigious award. Anthura from Bleiswijk, (Anthurium/Orchid breeder), Dekker Chrysanten, from Hensbroek, (Chrysanthemum breeder), Opti-flor from Monster (Phalaenopsis grower) and Wim Peters Kwekerijen from Someren (tomato grower) will all be vying for the prize. All four finalists stand out for their passion, vision, drive and excellent entrepreneurship.
