Strong bookings for 33rd GrootGroenPlus show

Exhibitor bookings are looking healthy for this year’s GrootGroenPlus, Europe’s premier amenity plant show taking place in Zundert’s CLTV building between 4-6 October 2023.

With less than four months to go before the opening of what will be the show’s 33rd edition, the organisers say that 185 exhibitors have booked their space.

The 2023 theme for GrootGroenPlus is ‘Dynamic and Digital’. In keeping with tradition, the 3-day event is genuinely a (avenue) tree-focused event although each year there’s a large contingent of horticultural and technology suppliers.

In a GrootGroenPlus ‘ante premiere’, TreePort Zundert in association with the Clean Water Campaign will host Techniekdag Boomteelt, a on-farm demonstration at Zundert-based tree nursery Den Eldert on 13 July. Den Eldert’s company owners Frank and Gerard Jochems will welcome tree growers and members of the supply trade for a series of demonstrations. Sessions at the event will focus on plant health, smart water use, tree measuring, and the application of robotics, incorporating the latest technologies and demonstrating best practice.

A panel of expert judges, including members of the horticultural media, will vote for their Best in Show plants on Wednesday morning. Plant novelties will automatically be vying for GrootGroenPlus’s Green Grand Prix awards.

GrootGroenPlus attendees can download the show’s app to discover new connections based on their interests. Effective August 2023, the app will feature an interactive floor plan referencing all exhibitors, products and available stock.
