Six seasoned industry experts join Plantarium/Groen-Direkt’s new organising committee

BOSKOOP, the Netherlands: Green Retail Events, the organiser of the revamped Plantarium/Groen Direkt show, today announced five people from within the ornamental horticulture industry have joined the event’s newly formed organising committee.

The inaugural edition of Plantarium/Groen-Direkt, the leading international nursery trade fair, will take place in Boskoop between 24-25 August 2022.

The new organising committee consists of Linda Hoogendoorn-Veelenturf from Varb, Sytse Berends from marketing and communication agency Blunt Communicatieadvies, Arjen Waltman from GROEN-Direkt, and two independently working industry professionals, Pieter Heemskerk and Sandra van Tol.

Over the next period, Ids Boersma, former director at RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre at supervisor of the Plantarium/GROEN-Direkt merger will be lending a hand.

Linda Hoogendoorn-Veelenturf, currently working as Varb’s managing director is set to become the foundation’s new managing director.

In her new role as fair director, Hoogendoorn-Veelenturf will serve as the vital link between the board members of Green Retail Events and the trade show team.

Pieter Heemskerk started working as an independent professional in commercial management this year. He has many plans and ideas to make the event a commercial success. Over the coming months he will be out and about to highlight the many benefits of participating in Plantarium Groen-Direkt.

Sytse Berends knows the nursery stock sector inside out. He will maintain the event’s website and corporate branding.

Arjen Waltman will be responsible for the show’s floorplan and stand construction.

Finally, in keeping with tradition, Sandra van Tol will be liasing with the trade press at home and abroad.
