Selecta One announces colourful presence at forthcoming Trade Fair Aalsmeer

Plant breeder and propagator Selecta One from Germany is again taking the opportunity to present excitingly new flowers and bedding plants and well-proven varieties at the forthcoming Trade Fair Aalsmeer, happening at the Aalsmeer flower auction between 7-9 November 2023.
Among the stars of the company’s booth, B.5. is Gypsophila Grandtastic, one of the newest big bloom Gypsophila brought to the market in 2022.

Selecta’s Autumn Friends concept of perennials-filled planters and bowls brings colour into the late summer and autumn. Producers, retailers and consumers love the Selecta recommendations for plant combinations. The cultivation of the individual plants is not very demanding, and most mixes are ready to sell after only eight weeks.
In Pelargonium, Tumbao® and Ylenia will occupy pride of place in Selecta One’s booth. The Pelargonium interspecific Tumbao® line features boldly coloured flowers that rise above dark leaves, providing summer joy throughout the season. Ylenia is a standalone variety with spectacularly large flowers in intense red with a pink edge. Selecta One says it has an outstanding summer and outdoor performance.

Selecta’s MiniFamous® varieties represent the most extensive range of colours for uniform Calibrachoa. The compact Oro Double varieties have a rounded habit, good branching, and double flowers in intensive colours. The Power Sisters, a new intergeneric series that combines the best of the Calibrachoa and Petunia, comes with large flowers and good branching.
Another highlight in Selecta One’s stand will be the company’s Drums® Verbena range. This series has delighted growers since its official launch. Demand for this new plant has exceeded expectations. The series meets all the expectations of a modern product thanks to its ease of production – no pinching and virtually no inhibitors are required. Early-blooming and compact, highly productive per unit of land, strong POS presence, and excellent flowering continuity in the home – the Drums® varieties are redefining Verbenas. The Drums series includes seven varieties and is now being expanded to include Drums® Red White – a high-contrast addition to the two-tone varieties. The series is backed up by an attention-grabbing marketing concept with the slogan, “Drums® – take the lead!”.
