WESTLAND, Netherlands: RHP, the Dutch certification scheme for substrates and raw materials today announced that Raymond Hedges has joined the organisation as managing director effective 1 February, 2022.
Hedges succeeds Hein Boon, who has been committed to Responsibly Produced Peat since the new year.
Raymond Hedges previously served as director of growers’ alliance Decorum.
Hedges has said he is looking forward to contributing his expertise in marketing, education and horticulture to his new role as managing director. Building the RHP brand and the transition to renewable and circular raw materials will be among his priorities.
RHP’s Supervisory Board is convinced that Hedges’ experience and background will enable him to further expand the distinctive role that RHP plays in the field of plant safety and quality assurance of raw materials and growing media in Europe. In addition, the Supervisory Board thanks Hein Boon for the major contribution he has made to the development of RHP over the past 19 years.
