Flower Power

NAALDWIJK, Netherlands: Holland’s Nationale Zomerbloemententoonstelling (National Summer Flower Show) returns September 6-9 promising a jam-packed schedule of events. This year’s theme is Flower Power.

Now in its 33^rd year the Nationale Zomerbloemententoonstelling is sure to attract huge crowds to the Oude Kerk (Old Church) in Naaldwijk. The show will celebrate all things peace, love and free-spirited (a daring theme in a church environment!) whilst visitors can immerse themselves in a world of beauty filled with art, music and, of course, a sea of summer flowers. Venue: the Old Church in Naaldwijk.

The four-day event, under the guidance of floral designer Heleen Valstar includes a quality competition with the country’s summer flower growers competing for coveted awards.

The stars of de Zomerbloemententoonstelling 2018 will be impressive summer flowers such as  Delphinium, Helianthus and Hydrangea. These flowers differentiate themselves by their stem length, bloom size and bold colours.
