Home > NetherlandsNovelties > Dümmen Orange’s naturally compact pot carnation Viva Magenta requires no PGRs
Dutch plant breeder and propagator Dümmen Orange has launched Viva Magenta, a new pot carnation, hassle free in commercial production and with great eye-appeal.
The new cultivar is simple to produce and easy to handle. The upright growing Viva Magenta features a naturally very compact growth habit, so it needs no PRGs in cultivation. Viva Magenta is suited for production in 10.5 or 12 cm pots.
Viva Magenta is early and abundantly flowering, uniform, and as such will fly off the retail shelves.
The new Viva Magenta pot carnation makes its début in an on-trend colour and for now only available as a stand alone variety. The breeder did not mention if there are more Viva colours in the pipeline.
