Begonia grower Peter ten Have joins Flower Council of Holland’s board of directors

Flower Council of Holland, the marketing arm of the Dutch floricultural sector, today announced Peter ten Have, Begonia and Gloxinia grower, co-founder of growers’ alliance Decorum, has joined the organisation’s board of directors effective 14 November 2022.

Ten Have is the managing director and owner of the plant nursery Kwekerij J&P Ten Have and is known for being a visionary hortipreneur and talented administrator who has served in several management roles within Decorum and Royal FloraHolland.

Flower Council of Holland’s chairman of the board, Marco van der Sar is delighted to have Ten Have on board.  He says, “Peter knows how to bring people together and serve the greater good of the industry.”

Ten Have and his fellow board members await a daunting task as the Members’ Council of Royal FloraHolland has given Flower Council of Holland an additional two years to agree with all sector parties on a new levy collection model.

Ten Have succeeds Bert Schouten, who has been part of the Council’s board since May 2018.

In  2020, at the height of the pandemic, Peter ten Have helped create an industry-led and Europe-wide Fill the Distance with Beauty campaign to promote flowers and plants as the first choice to bridge the emotional gap between people.
