Anthura puts its garden orchids in the limelight

BLEISWIJK, Netherlands: Anthura has put their extensive portfolio of Cypripedium, Pleione, Bletilla, Calanthe, which sell under the Garden Orchids brand, in the limelight. A comprehensive press kit makes it now easier for journalists to learn about the brand, access photos and videos.

Last year, the company spotted room for some clear garden orchid marketing by teaming up with the Swiss Orchid Foundation in an attempt to bring Cypripedium calceolus back to its natural habitat.  Packed with crates full of young plants, naturally propagated by the company self a team of Anthura workers under the guidance of Swiss orchid experts went high up into the mountains where the lady’s slipper plants were put into the rocky soil. Videos and photos of the expedition were shared all over the internet.

A Garden Orchid is a perennial, frost-resistant plant that is easy to maintain. Most types flower each year between April and June. After flowering, the plant starts to hibernate. While hibernating, this garden orchid withstands temperatures of up to -20°C.

The company invites end users to select the shape, colour and height they like most of this special family of garden orchids! From pristine white to pink, yellow and almost black. As large as your hand or reaching your knee. From lovely, small flowers to considerable eye-catchers.

Anthura stresses how planting garden orchids provides long lasting experience in the garden. Whatever variant you decide to plant, at the first rays of the sun in spring the shoots sprout from the ground. They slowly unfurl their wonderful flowers, which you will be able to enjoy for weeks. This perennial plant keeps forming new shoots underground, so you can expect more fabulous flowers every year, even in the darkest corner of your garden.
