With a mandate agreed by international convention, AIPH, the International Association of Horticultural Producers has been approving and regulating International Horticultural Expos since 1960.
This conference presents an excellent opportunity to learn more about hosting or being involved with an International Horticultural Expo and to network with expo organisers, city representatives interested in hosting an expo, urban developers, AIPH members, NGOs, international city and environmental organisations and suppliers to major events.
Millions are spent on developing these international spectacles that can have the ability to stimulate the development of entire cities and transform the international reputation of hosting regions. Each exhibition attracts many international participants and millions of visitors, lasts up to six months, with sites ranging from 25 to 500 hectares in size. Every Expo is carefully regulated, steered, and monitored by AIPH.
The period from 2021 until 2027 already includes AIPH approved expos in China, Turkey, Qatar, the Netherlands, South Korea and Japan with more to be approved in upcoming meetings.

MEI is a Management Consultancy who, for over 10 years has specialised in helping all organisations succeed in the global sports events market: from commercial companies, rights holders, government agencies to host organisations.
Having identified a huge gap in the market in the late 2000s for a single point of contact model for event organisers and experienced trusted event suppliers, MEI was formed to provide that interface service. With experience from every summer Olympic Games since Athens 2004 through to Rio 2016 and relationships with future Games in Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024, the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022, Winter Olympics in 2010, multiple Commonwealth Games and single-sport World Cups, MEI is the only business of sports consultancy operating exclusively in major events planning, delivery and legacy.
Our international business services also offer access to a range of integrated services including international market profile enhancement, strategy development and uniquely, in-country early entry support. The latter encompasses tasks such as proposal development, translation, sustained customer contact and market intelligence.
Available assets include a weekly Major Events Digest, global members’ only web portal and subject matter expertise delivering workshops, bid support and hosted missions to target mega-event countries.
The services are geared to save our customers time and expenditure during the business expansion process and enable them to be more competitive in capitalising on Olympic and World Cup opportunities in this global, iconic mega-events market.
