Royal Anthos, the industry body for the Dutch bulb and perennials industry, today welcomes Mark Jan Terwindt as the association’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to joining Anthos, Terwindt was an executive director of The Greenery.

Terwindt knows the horticultural sector inside out and has served in different management positions within Royal FloraHolland and export company Noviflora. Over the past two years, he has worked as a director at The Greenery Growers.

He graduated from Nyenrode Business University and is delighted to join Royal Anthos, whose members he will visit in person this year.

Between 1 March 2023 and 1 June 2023, former Royal Anthos president Henk Westerhof will serve as the organisation’s chairman and sparring partner of Terwindt. By 1 June 2023, Royal Anthos will appoint a new chairman.

In accepting his new role, Terwindt says he is delighted to back in the ornamental horticulture industry after a 3-year break. He cites bolstering the sector’s market position, market access, promotion and focus on the members’ ‘licence to deliver’ as his key priorities along with other well- known sector challenges as labour shortage, plant health, standardisation, digitalisation and sustainability.
