2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo | National Days

National Days from four corners of the world

National Days are important events for International Horticultural Expos. Within a month of opening, the 2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo has hosted four cultural events from the following participating nations: the Czech Republic, Italy, the Netherlands, and Tanzania.

Expo visitors have been enjoying these unique cultural programmes the participating countries provide, which is an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic and business relations.

The Czech Republic

An extraordinary marionette puppet show for visitors was organised by the Czech Cultural Centre in Korea for the Czech Republic’s National Day.

Italy

In the Expo Park, opera was sung in Italian and Korean to the delight of the Expo-visiting audiences for the Italian National Day, organised by the Italian Vice Ambassador to Korea.

The Netherlands

The Dutch Ambassador to Korea organised a drawing contest for Korean schoolchildren to show their creativity about the Korean-Dutch friendship.

Tanzania

On Tanzania’s National Day, visitors enjoyed traditional dancing, a traditional costume fashion show, and the Kilimanjaro coffee-tasting event. The Tanzanian Ambassador to Korea participated in this cultural exchange.
