Landscape Istanbul Fair 2025: Trade, Growth, and Green Leadership in Türkiye

The fourth edition of the Landscape Istanbul Fair (LIF 2025) is scheduled to take place from 8 to 11 October 2025 at the Istanbul Expo Centre, with registration now open for trade visitors. As an AIPH-approved International Horticultural Trade Show, the event has grown into a leading business and knowledge platform for landscaping, ornamental plant production, and green infrastructure across Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and North Africa.

This year’s edition will benefit from the official participation of two major industry bodies in Türkiye—SÜSBİR (The Turkish Ornamental Plant Growers Union) and PMO (The Turkish Chamber of Landscape Architects)—demonstrating broad national support for the fair’s strategic goals.
“SÜSBİR’s vision is to transform Türkiye into a hub for the production and marketing of ornamental plants by leveraging our ecological and logistical advantages in the future,” said Miray Engin, General Secretary of SÜSBİR. “Landscape Istanbul Fair plays a significant role for us to achieve this vision and it is a valuable opportunity, especially in terms of boosting exports.”
Representing more than 1,000 commercial growers and a member of the European Nurserystock Association (ENA), SÜSBİR’s involvement brings both local expertise and wider European access to the fore.
PMO, which represents over 7,000 professional landscape architects and is a member of the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA), also brings strong institutional weight to the event. Their support reflects a shared commitment to shaping urban green space policy and professional practice on an international scale.

LIF 2025 offers exhibitors targeted access to qualified professional buyers and public sector decision-makers seeking sustainable solutions and strategic partners.
“We are very excited by the added value that SÜSBİR and PMO bring to the event,” said Mustafa Gültekin Gökgül, CEO of Athena Fairs Inc., organiser of LIF. “In addition to much greater participation from these core groups of buyers and sellers, their extensive international experience and expertise will greatly enrich the fair and its associated events.”
With over 120 exhibitors and 5,000 trade professionals from 50 countries expected to attend in 2025, LIF 2025 is anticipated to be the largest and most internationally diverse edition to date—a clear sign of Türkiye’s rising influence in the global green economy.

World Urban Parks Symposium Returns for Third Year

A centrepiece of LIF 2025 will once again be the World Urban Parks (WUP) Symposium, returning for its third year. Marking the 10th anniversary of World Urban Parks, the 2025 symposium invites professionals from around the world to submit presentation proposals under the theme “NEXT: The Next Generation of Cities and Public Spaces.”

Topics span nature-based climate solutions, equitable public space design, innovative placemaking, and circular water and resource management. Interested contributors can submit their abstracts via the official symposium website. The deadline for submissions is 20th July.
Sessions from WUP2024 are available to watch on YouTube, offering valuable context for potential speakers and attendees.
