GreenTech Amsterdam 2025: A Global Hub for Learning About Horticultural Technology

With knowledge exchange and cross-border collaboration at its heart, GreenTech Amsterdam continues to align with AIPH’s mission to strengthen the global horticulture industry.
We are proud to once again approve GreenTech Amsterdam as a world-class event serving the needs of growers, suppliers, and industry innovators. Taking place from 10–12 June 2025 at RAI Amsterdam, this year’s edition offers more than 80 knowledge sessions designed to foster learning, stimulate dialogue, and promote shared solutions across the sector.
Horticulture doesn’t develop in isolation, and global policy frameworks, sustainability targets, climate adaptation, and technological disruption increasingly shape the industry. GreenTech Amsterdam provides the platform for addressing these issues head-on, with space for critical discussion, technical exploration, and international exchange.
“We see a growing need for growers and policymakers to understand one another,” says Mariska Dreschler, Director of Horticulture at RAI Amsterdam, in an interview for the June issue of FloraCulture International. “That’s why we’re embedding regulation, innovation, and dialogue into every level of the event.”

Supporting Professional Development Across Borders

This year’s programme reflects GreenTech’s global reach, with country pavilions from regions including Canada, South Korea, Germany, China, Greece, and Spain. These areas offer contrasting approaches to innovation, data utilisation, and sustainable production, creating an ideal learning environment for international visitors.
Insights from GreenTech Americas, held earlier this year in Mexico, will also be woven into the Amsterdam programme. This regional knowledge, especially in the areas of labour and climate adaptation, helps broaden the event’s relevance for delegates across diverse production zones.
As Mariska told us, “Our passion is to connect stakeholders in the horticultural community. By doing so, we can grow stronger, smarter, and more sustainable together.”

Focused Sessions for a Complex Industry

GreenTech Amsterdam’s programme encompasses the full spectrum of industry priorities, including AI and robotics, vertical farming, automation, precision growing, and sustainable packaging. Wednesday’s Power Day will spotlight the theme ‘Passion for Growth – Harnessing AI in Cultivation’, with expert-led discussions and networking opportunities tailored to professionals ready to take the next step in data-driven growing.
The GreenTech Innovation & Concept Awards, now narrowed to six finalists from 47 submissions, further demonstrate the sector’s commitment to R&D, automation, and circularity. These developments support AIPH’s own strategic goals to advance sustainable and science-based horticultural production.

Why We Endorse GreenTech

Our exhibition approval system exists to recognise and support trade shows that reflect AIPH values: international engagement, professional excellence, and meaningful content for growers and industry players. GreenTech Amsterdam continues to meet these standards, providing a high-quality, globally relevant event that brings the horticultural value chain together.
