AVBS, the Belgian Ornamental Horticulture and Green Federation and a member of AIPH, will combine its Florall Spring Trade Fair on 3 March 2026 with a certified phytolicense refresher course for ornamental horticulture professionals in Waregem, Belgium.
First launched in 2007 and organised by AVBS, Florall is held twice annually in Flanders. The trade fair promotes Belgium’s ornamental horticulture industry and supports spring sales in a dynamic, professional environment, attracting breeders, growers, wholesalers, technical suppliers, service providers, and garden retailers from Belgium and abroad.
Alongside the exhibition, participants can attend an officially recognised refresher course that helps maintain a P1 or P2 phytolicense for professional plant protection use. The initiative supports ongoing professional competence in plant health management and responsible crop protection.
The afternoon programme includes sessions on flower-rich field margins and their role in supporting beneficial insects and natural enemies, presented by Joachim Moens (HoGent), and practical guidance on pest control in ornamental horticulture and landscaping. Participation is free; registration is required.

By integrating certified training into the programme, AVBS reinforces its commitment to strengthening professional standards and safeguarding plant health in the Belgian ornamental horticulture sector.
Across our global community, AIPH supports and promotes the work of national grower organisations such as AVBS. Through knowledge exchange, responsible production practices and continued professional development, our members strengthen ornamental horticulture within their own countries while contributing to a more resilient and sustainable global industry.
Belgium recently hosted the 77th AIPH Annual Congress in 2025, further demonstrating the country’s active engagement within the international horticultural community.
