AIPH welcomes seven new Affiliate Members

During the 76th AIPH Annual Congress, held in Warsaw, Poland, from 3-7th September 2024, the Board of the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) approved the applications of seven new Affiliate Members.

As the world’s champion for the power of plants, AIPH has been supporting grower associations since 1948. AIPH Members are grower associations and trade organisations representing the interests of ornamental horticulture in their respective countries.

Plants are becoming increasingly important in mitigating climate change and improving the health of people around the world. Horticultural producers are therefore a vital component in securing a healthier, more resilient future. The power of a larger association like AIPH in bringing together and amplifying the voices of these associations is the reason for the increasing worldwide Membership.

Affiliate Membership is open to any business or organisation with an interest and involvement in ornamental horticulture. The seven new Affiliate Members are:

  • Plaza Hollandi, Qatar – With many locations around Qatar, Plaza Hollandi is an importer, wholesaler, and retailer of fresh flowers and indoor plants. They import shrubs and trees from around the world to their 10 hectare nursery, where they also produce native species.
  • Nationwide Trees, Australia – Established by former Greenlife Industry Australia President Glenn Fenton, Nationwide Trees is involved in wholesale tree seedlings and rootstock.
  • Desch Plantpak, Netherlands – Desch Plantpak produces a range of pots, trays, and packs for horticultural producers. They keep sustainability in mind and are working towards increasingly eco-friendly products.
  • Gardens by the Bay, Singapore – This well-known attraction showcases horticultural artistry whilst educating visitors about plants. A team of professionals are responsible for continuously curating and growing the gardens.
  • Mega Group, Iraq – Based in Baghdad, Mega Group provides infrastructure solutions such as roads, bridges, tunnels, and more. They have worked closely with horticultural professionals to include greenery in their projects.
  • ErfGoed, Netherlands – ErfGoed provides growers with integrated water systems and storage for greenhouse floors, ensuring controlled cultivation and improved plant quality.
  • N Light, UK – N Light offers LED lighting solutions to use in greenhouses, giving growers flexibility and control.

Members have exclusive access to industry-leading research , including the International Statistics Flowers and Plants Yearbook. All Members are invited to attend AIPH’s twice-yearly meetings, where they can network with AIPH Members from around the world, and take part in international industry conferences.
