As cherry blossoms fade and spring deepens across South Korea, anticipation is blooming for International Horticulture Goyang Korea 2025. In just a few days, Ilsan Lake Park in Goyang Special City will transform into a vibrant celebration of flowers, innovation, and international friendship.
Officially approved by AIPH, this 17-day festival—from 25 April to 11 May 2025—invites the world to experience unforgettable scents, colours, creativity, and cross-border collaborations.
Organised by the Goyang International Flower Foundation, the event blends Korea’s rich horticultural heritage with global creativity, offering a joyful and immersive experience that reflects the spirit of springtime renewal and connection.
This Expo will be more than just a floral showcase; IHGK25 is Korea’s only branded flower exposition and a landmark on the international horticultural calendar. Since its inception in 1997, the event has grown into a world-class platform for floriculture, landscape design, smart farming, and sustainable innovation. With 700,000 visitors expected, 25 participating nations, and over 200 exhibitors, IHGK25 is set to be a powerful catalyst for industry development.

Fostering International Growth and Innovation
As horticulture evolves to meet global challenges, platforms like IHGK25 play a vital role in driving innovation, technological exchange, and business development. After its AIPH-approved debut in 2024, this year’s event will again provide fertile ground for progress, inspiring new ideas and fostering growth.
At the heart of the Expo, the Industrial Exhibition Hall will bring together stakeholders from across the value chain. National pavilions, promotional booths, and Business-to-Business (B2B) centres will sit alongside displays of new plant breeds and exotic species, supporting investment, cross-border partnerships, and the integration of new technologies into the global market.
South Korea’s horticultural economy is on the rise. According to our AIPH & Union Fleurs International Statistics Flowers & Plants 2024, cut flower and live plant exports reached €56.2 million in 2023, while imports stood at €11.5 million. China, Vietnam, and the USA remain key export markets—underscoring the country’s growing trade potential. For domestic growers and international suppliers alike, IHGK25 represents a valuable opportunity to engage with one of Asia’s most dynamic horticultural markets.
A Platform for Business, Culture, and Connection
IHGK25 is more than a trade fair—it is a cultural and commercial bridge connecting global horticulture to Korea’s vibrant local industry. Themed gardens such as the Special Rose Garden, Local Flower Garden, and Iconic Flower Garden will offer aesthetic beauty and rich cultural narratives that inspire both professionals and the public.
Inside the exhibition halls, attendees will encounter rare and exotic plant species, innovative processed products—including flower teas, botanical extracts, and preserved arrangements—and a stunning indoor garden installation debuting for the first time this year. The PentaFloral showcase will feature the work of global floral artists, adding an international flair to the artistic experience.
Events such as the floral design competition and local flower market will shine a spotlight on Korea’s regional talent, positioning the country as a strong and growing player in the global floriculture sector. For small and medium-sized enterprises, the Expo’s focus on processed botanical goods opens new commercial channels in a competitive marketplace.

Technology, Sustainability, and the Future of Horticulture
IHGK25 reflects a changing horticultural landscape—one where tradition meets technology, and sustainability is no longer optional. This year’s programme will highlight advances in urban agriculture, SmartFarm solutions, landscape facilities, and IoT systems designed to support efficient, future-ready growing.
The event gives participants access to the tools and conversations shaping the sector’s future by offering space for knowledge-sharing, research presentations, and product launches. Importantly, it also encourages dialogue on climate resilience, resource efficiency, and sustainable growth—goals that align closely with our mission at AIPH.
Governments, trade associations, technology firms, and research institutions will all be present, providing a collaborative platform to stay ahead of market trends, regulatory developments, and consumer demand. A newly introduced Overseas Buyer Invitation Support Programme, developed in collaboration with KOTRA, will further facilitate high-quality networking and tailored buyer engagement.
Celebrating Goyang’s Legacy—and Looking Ahead
Now in its 17th edition, IHGK25 is deeply rooted in Goyang’s identity. Recognised as a flagship urban branding initiative, the Expo earned the Korean Minister’s Award at the Korea Brand Awards in 2023. More than 500 local flower farms will contribute spring blooms to this year’s event, reflecting the depth and diversity of Korea’s floricultural expertise.
The outdoor exhibitions—staged across the natural beauty of Ilsan Lake Park—will follow three thematic streams: Culture Delivered by the Scent of Flowers; Imaginative Gardens That Interact with Flowers, and Expansion Towards a Sustainable World.
Each segment is carefully curated to offer a sensory-rich, emotionally resonant journey through modern horticulture. Expect vibrant colour palettes, artful installations, and immersive storytelling that speaks to the heart as much as the business mind.

Be Part of the Future at IHGK25
As our industry navigates challenges from climate change to global trade shifts, events like IHGK25 serve as touchstones for progress and possibility. Whether you’re a grower, designer, researcher, policymaker, or supplier, this is your opportunity to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the future of global horticulture.
We are proud to confirm that AIPH Vice President Holly Peng will be in attendance this year, representing our continued support for international collaboration and innovation throughout the horticultural sector.
IHGK25 is more than an event—it is a meeting of minds, a celebration of culture, and a gateway to new ideas, markets, and inspiration.
