Jürgen Mertz, President of the Central Horticultural Association (ZVG), reminded the attendees how IPM Essen had been a hotbed for horticultural innovation for more than 40 years.
Germany’s Federal Association of Horticulture, ZVG announced in September that Jürgen Mertz has been re-elected chairman of the association for a third consecutive three-year term, commencing 26 September, 2018.
Elected to his first term as ZVG chairman in 2012, the 59-year old Mertz is owner of a Hadamar-based garden centre and brings with many years of experience in ornamental plant production and retail.
