The USA’s Horticultural Research Institute (HRI) announces scholarship and grants applications

Grant awards typically range from $5,000 to $ 35,000, scholarships from $500 to $5,000. The deadline is 1 June 2023.

HRI supports research proposals that expand the market for plant material, increase crop producers’ business and financial expertise, enhance environmentally responsible management practices, or address regulatory issues and emerging opportunities in the horticultural industry. Applicants are encouraged to present projects that represent collaborative research efforts.

Researchers are challenged to focus their research on attainable outcomes that demonstrate a return on investment for all sectors of the horticulture industry in these key research priority areas:

HRI will grant up to $20,000 in scholarships for the 2023-2024 school year to students seeking lifelong careers in horticulture.
