One-stop-shop for genetics

Building on last year’s success at the IPM Essen show, the breeders’ alliance is happy to be back at IPM with a group stand. Peter van de Pol, spokesperson for Breeding Accel, emphasises: “Sharing a stand enhances our commercial strength and makes it easier for our supply chain partners to discover the latest insights in genetics. We offer a true one-stop-shop for innovations in breeding.”

Thebreeders’’ highlights

The participating breeders are to demonstrate their commitment to continued innovation.

In February 2024, Microflor and Hark/Sion joined forces and continued under the name Labeau. Nearly one year later, Labeau is ready to showcase its latest range of Phalaenopsis.

Houseplant grower KP Holland will showcase its exclusive Curcuma. The company is the sole breeder and global supplier of Curcuma grown from tissue cultures.

Royal Van Zanten will introduce some special novelties, including pot chrysanthemums JellyFish® and Artistic® Jeff. The breeder will also present PaX, pot Chrysanthemums ideal for growing in packs.

Schoneveld Breeding will exhibit a variety of innovations at the fair, including Cyclamen Illusia, Gerbera Joybera, Gaultheria Ciao Bella, and an addition to its Primula Paradiso range.

Interplant Roses will be showcasing its latest spray rose varieties.

Stronger together in breeding.

Breeding Accel, besides the five ornamental plant companies, also includes Fresh Forward (specialising in apple and strawberry breeding), which highlights how collaboration accelerates the breeding cycle and improves quality. “By sharing knowledge in areas such as tissue culture, HR, propagation and sales, we are making significant advances”, says Van de Pol. “this enables us to supply our customers with stronger and more vigorous starting material for a successful crop.”
