Author: Rachel Wakefield

LEIMUIDERBURG, Netherlands: Japan-based breeder Suntory offers a Summer Garden visit in the Netherlands as substitute for this year’s cancelled FlowerTrials. The trial garden in Leimuiderbrug includes beds and field with colourful flowers and opens from 15 June to 28 August.

This alternative will be a unique experience for every professional: from propagator, grower, exporter, product specialist, trade marketer or retailer.

You can wander (and wonder) around in the show garden. You can even pre-book a guided tour of the Summer Garden or take a sneak peek into Suntory’s new collection.

The trial gardens will showcase novelties, new from years of breeding and that or still in or just out of their extenstive testing period:  12 different brands/genera, 53 new commercial cultivars and 113 new breeding varieties in selection. It will also feature the latest introductions and prize-winning novelties like Sundaville (dipladenia), Surfinia (petunia) Granvia (strawflower), Senetti (pericallis), Beedance (bidens) Sunpeddle (nemesia), Surdiva (scaevola) and many more

Suntory’s Head Marketing & Communications, Erwin Giezen, says, “After the impact of Covid-19 containment measures, this positive alternative of looking to the future will support decision-makers to take matters into their own hands. Select and pre-order during the Suntory Summer Garden 2020. This way they can decide what they want to see on the market and sell in their stores in the upcoming years.”
