Selecta One announces leadership and organisation changes

STUTTGART, Germany: The past few months have brought important personnel changes at Selecta one. Amongst others, the breeding company expanded the management board by an independent Research + Development (R+D) department with effect from 1 April 2019.

Since 1 November 2018, Klaus Gaumann has joined the company as the new Director  Marketing & Product Management. Gausmann, who succeeds Richard Petri, has extensive, international professional and leadership experience in the area of Marketing, Brand Management, Trade Marketing and Product Management. Over the years, he has developed and supervised various products and brands successfully in different industry sectors.

Since 18 January, Thomas Meise is new Head of Product Management at Selecta one. With his professional academic horticultural training and many years of professional experience, he has extensive experience in the production, cultivation, marketing and purchase of young and ornamental plants. In his new position, he is responsible for the division and the Product Management team and reports to Klaus Gaumann.

Also, there are changes at management level of Selecta one. The Managing Partners of Selecta one, Nils Klemm and Per Klemm have decided to expand the management board and to partially reorganise the areas of responsibility within the management board. Furthermore, the new position of Director of URC Production has been created at the level of divisional managers.

As of 1 April 2019, Dries Eikens, who has been with Selecta one since 2012, started in the new position Director URC Production and is thus supervisor of the General Managers of the production sites Selecta Kenya, Selecta Uganda and Selecta Canarias.

Also, with effect from 1 April 2019 the management board of Selecta one has been extended by an independent Research + Development (R+D) department. Per Klemm, CEO of Selecta one: “We are very pleased to have found Andrea Dohm as a highly qualified, valuable and – for the first time – a female addition to the management board.”

Since 1 April 2019 the management board of Selecta one is composed as follows:

Nils Klemm – CEO, responsible for the administrational area and HR

Per Klemm – CEO, responsible for production, SCM and IT

Dr. Ulrich Sander – CMO, responsible for sales and marketing of all products, IP and Business Development

Dr. Andrea Dohm – CTO, responsible for R+D
