Selecta One acquires Helleborus breeding from German Bock Bio Science GmbH

STUTTGART, Germany:  German plant breeder and propagator Selecta One is pleased to announce it has purchased the complete Helleborus assortiment and breeding research from tissue culture specialist Bock Bio Science GmbH.

The breeding programme includes a valuable genetic pool of Helleborus niger, orientalis and interspecific. The product group is a welcome addition to the current Selecta one portfolio and opens new opportunities in other market segments, especially in high-quality perennials.

In addition to several very competitive Helleborus niger varieties, the breeding program offers great opportunities for innovative approaches to breeding novelties for which Selecta one is known. It is also a perfect addition to our current range, as many of our customers already have Helleborus in their portfolio”.

In addition to the breeding programme, Selecta one will also take over and process the orders for the coming season. The in-vitro production remains in the Bock Bio Science laboratory, which ensures high product quality. In the meantime, both Bock Bio Science and Selecta one will work closely together to ensure a smooth transition and deliver excellent quality material.
