Schneider Youngplants appoints new sales manager Germany

RIDDERKERK, Netherlands: Young plant producer Schneider Youngplants is delighted to announce that August Thorsten Sander has been appointed as sales manager Germany, with effect from August 2020.

Sander is a well-known figure across the horticultural industry and brings with him many twenty years of experience. He previously worked as a sales representative of Raiffeisen Gartenbau, Germany.

“Thorsten is a specialist in the young plants market, whom we have known and collaborated with for many years. Of utmost importance for Schneider is the trusting relationship and shared values both personally and professionally. Thorsten as a sales leader in Germany (and German-speaking areas), will breathe new life into the area and provide Schneider with a new chapter for its sales and customer relationships. Whilst Schneider is building a 3.6 ha new glasshouse in Woudrichem – Holland, measures are in place in Germany so that Thorsten will be able to provide the grower with an even better service,” says Schneider’s CEO Jacob Schneider.

The decision was also welcomed by the company’s German partners. Udo Böhmer and his team feel very positive and supportive of the decision. “Thorsten Sander has worked for SteBe, later Raiffeisen Gartenbau, for many years and has grown very close with Schneider young plants. He is technically astute and is a really patient colleague with very good social skills. We see this as very effective collaboration. In the future, together we will create product ranges that are relevant to the specific German Market reflecting changing trends and customise the lists to reflect our customers’ needs. We are very pleased that Thorsten is now our direct contact,” says Udo Böhmer
