Greenport Aalsmeer, a trilateral network of organisational links between universities, the government, municipalities and industry, has appointed Ruud Knorr as its new executive director, following in the footsteps of Ronald van den Breevaart, who will hand over the reins over a 4-year tenure. Knorr will take office on 1 January 2025.
Knorr – aged 57- brings nearly 30 years of experience in ornamental horticulture with a deep understanding of the supply chain.
He previously worked as Business Unit Manager at Landgard, managing director at Veiling Rhein-Maas (2011-2016), director Retail and Plants at Dutch Flower Group (2017-2020) and Chief Commercial Officer at Royal FloraHolland (2020-2024).
Knorr currently serves as interim director at LTO Bedrijven.
