In April 2024, the Dutch environmental certification scheme MPS welcomed Van der Sar as its new Chairman.
Bas Brinkman, CEO of Royal Brinkman is thrilled to welcome Van der Sar to Royal Brinkman. He says, “The horticultural sector is becoming increasingly complex. There’s a persistent rise in corporate concentration, the industry is losing plant protection products, the EU moves to tighten regulation of the sector, and the pressure to grow more sustainably and efficiently is increasing. Certainty for professional growers matters. The need clear operational insight, predictability throughout the season, and solutions that are proven to work in practice. In response to these market dynamics, we have deliberately reorganised our structure. By working in clearly defined divisions, we bring greater focus and depth to our expertise. With Marco, we are bringing in extensive experience and strong commercial capability to further develop and strengthen the Horti Essentials division.”
Commenting on his new challenge Van der Sar says, “Royal Brinkman is recognised worldwide as a reliable partner for growers. Growers need to be able to rely on the availability and quality of their core products. I am delighted to be joining Royal Brinkman and working with the team to further strengthen that foundation.”
