Quick Plug North America announces new managing director

SOUTH PORTLAND, USA:  Quick Plug announces a change in leadership as Bill Maartense expands his role to Managing Director for North America.

With over 25 years of industry experience, Maartense has most recently served as Director of Quick Plug Canada (formerly Omni Growing Solutions) since its inception in 2010. Quick Plug North America includes two locations: a facility in South Portland, Maine, USA, and a facility location in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.

Last year, the rooting substrate companies of Grow-Tech Inc. (US), Quick Plug (NL) and Omni Growing Solutions (CA), re-branded under the Quick Plug name to form one independent group that operates in the global market. With a network of specialized production and distribution facilities, Quick Plug is uniquely positioned to service commercial growers and wholesalers worldwide. The collaboration brings together 75 years of combined knowledge and experience, allowing Quick Plug to offer a wide variety of product ranges and formulations for the cultivation of young plants.
