BRUSSELS, Belgium: Growing Media Europe (GME), the industry body for the European peat industry is pleased to announce that German company Compo and Projar from Spain have joined as the association’s newest members further strengthening the voice of the industry.
Commenting on the GME membership, Mr Stephan Engster, CEO of Compo says, “Compo is happy to officially be part of Growing Media Europe. We are willing to work towards strengthening the voice and common interests of the sector, as the leading suppliers of branded articles for indoor and garden plants and in the horticultural sector.
Compo’s product range offers end consumers everything they need to grow healthy plants -from potting soil and fertilizer to lawn seeds to articles for pest control and crop protection with a focus on organic products.
Rafael Bolinches, managing director of Projar says, “We are GME’s first company member representing the Spanish growing media sector. Projar is fully committed to contribute towards GME’s Public Affairs strategy, as it has already been doing. Projar manufactures growing media with a recognised track record of more than 30 years.”
Projar is a company dedicated to the manufacture of substrates and the marketing of supplies for agriculture and gardening. In addition, it has a Landscape and Environment division that is responsible for developing solutions for landscaping and bioengineering, as well as executing projects. The company has offices around the entire Iberian Peninsula and exports its products to more than 20 countries.
