Preparations ‘well underway’ for IPM ESSEN 2021

ESSEN, Germany:  With nine months to go before IPM Essen 2021 (26-29 January), preparation of the world’s premier horticultural trade show is well underway. Organiser Messe Essen says that exhibitors can book their space until 30 June 2020.

IPM ESSEN traditionally marks the beginning of a new business year for its exhibitors and visitors. “We are pleased about a very good booking status. Numerous exhibitors are already passionately planning their participation. Thus, IPM ESSEN is underlining its status as the most important industry platform and source of inspiration for the horticultural industry,” says Head of Project Andrea Hölker.

Recently, over 1,500 exhibitors from 46 countries took part in the world’s leading trade fair and presented innovative products and services in the fields of plants, technology, floristry and equipment. It became clear that climate change and sustainability are among the defining themes in horticulture: Whether environmentally friendly packaging, climate-tolerant new varieties, insect-friendly plants to promote biodiversity, air-purifying green plants, plant boxes with integrated water storage or peat substitutes – the international horticulture impressively demonstrated its innovative power.

Messe Essen sets the course for the coming years A few weeks ago, Messe Essen, together with two cooperation partners, set an important signal for the coming years: Both the FDF – Fachverband Deutscher Floristen (Association of German Florists) and the Bund deutscher Baumschulen (BDB – Association of German Nurseries) renewed their contracts with the world’s largest horticultural trade show. In addition to their participation as exhibitors at IPM ESSEN, both associations have for many years been organising a top-class additional program for the trade visitors.
