Lilium Zambesi a firm favourite among Lily Days attendees

The variety ‘Zambesi’ is chosen as this year’s most popular lily by visitors of the Dutch Lily Days and online voters across the world. The amount of votes and attention to Lily League® proves its success formula; a parade of the most beautiful and appreciated lily varieties of this moment. The outcome of this year’s Lily League also brought a new winning contestant. Amy Lee of Formosa Horticulture in Taiwan wins a free flight ticket to the Dutch Lily Days 2019 or a free travelers cheque for € 1.000.

The election of the 50 most valuable lily varieties took place in the context of the Dutch Lily Days. The annual event was held this year for the seventh time. Between 5th -8th June, 14 lily companies, both breeders and exporters, opened their testing greenhouses to show professionals and lily enthusiasts the varieties of today and tomorrow. All visitors were invited to vote for their top 10 favourite lilies. The lines closed on 13th June. Lily League®, an initiative of Onings Holland Flowerbulbs, received many responses.
