Noel Kingsbury and Geir Moen announced as keynote speakers at ISU’s Expert Talks

BONN, Germany: The International Hardy Plant Union (ISU) is pleased to announce that British garden designer, researcher and writer Noel Kingsbury and alpine plant expert Geir Moon from Norway will be the two keynote speakers at the 2021 Online Expert Talks next on 13 February 2021.

Kingsbury will discuss the ‘long-term performance of plants and the need to focus on getting a better understanding of growth forms’. Kingsbury holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Sheffield for his research in this area and is known for his near-natural designs. Geir Moen lives about 70 km northeast of Oslo, Norway. He has been passionate about plants from his childhood, and he has a particular interest in alpines.

At ISU’s Expert Talks Moen will take his audience on a virtual journey to the Romania’s Carphatians, bringing the mountain range’s rich habitat of alpine plants under the spotlight.

Jonas Bengtsson from Sweden, Chairman of ISU’s Committee for Plant Evaluation will present the ‘Golden Quintet’: five outstanding herbaceous perennials which were crowned with the 2020 ISU Perennial Innovation Award earlier this year.

ISU President Aad Vollebregt from the Netherlands will update attendees about the latest perennial plant news from around and the developments within ISU’s organisation.
