Author: Ron van der Ploeg
POELDIJK, Netherlands: Just a few weeks after the launch of its exclusive Lisianthus Giant White, Dutch Lisianthus grower Montana adds striking ‘Falda White’ to its product portfolio.
Lisianthus ‘Falda White is a bred of Takii and the latest member of the company’s Falda family which to date comprises two members: Falda Salmon and Falda Apricot. Falda is synonymous with style, beauty, early flowering, sturdy stems and excellent post-harvest performance all throughout the supply chain.
Takkii’s lastest breeding breakthrough ‘Falda White’ is a single-flowered variety with ruffle-edged petals in pure white that make the flowers look fuller.
Poeldijk-based Montana has specialised in growing Lisianthus year round for more than 25 years and is run by husband and wife team Corine and Frank van Holst. The company is a member of grower alliance Decorum.
