French industry veteran, agricultural engineer, horticultural journalist, contributing writer for FCI magazine, and business consultant Marie Françoise Petitjean will launch her guide on successfully managing a horticultural business at France’s forthcoming trade show Salon du Végétal on Tuesday, 10 September 2024.
In her guide entitled ‘Piloter son entreprise de production horticole’ (‘Managing Your Horticultural Business’), Petitjean seeks to answer the question of how to successfully manage a business in ornamental horticulture.
The book required more than two years of research to understand the past, present, and future of France’s ornamental sector better.

The book launch is set for Tuesday afternoon, 10 September, at the Salon du Végétal, France’s premier horticultural trade show, which will be held in Angers between 10-12 September 2024. The event will coincide with the anniversary party of France’s horticultural media outlet Lien Horticole, which celebrates 60 years of business this year.
The author will be on hand to reveal more details of what an authoritative guide for French growers of cut flowers, nursery stock, plants and bulbs is.

Written in French, the 389-page guide mainly focuses on the French business environment but includes plenty of tips and describes management tools that may help any entrepreneur.
