IPM ESSEN expands into Mexico

The world’s premier show for ornamental horticulture, IPM ESSEN, today announced it will continue to expand its international network by opening a new trade show in Mexico in September this year.

Entitled Ornamental Plants & Flowers MEXICO (OP&F) powered by MESSE ESSEN and endorsed by Mexico’s Ministry of Agriculture, the new trade show will be held at the Centro Citibanamex convention centre in Mexico City September 18 to 20.

Working with event organisers AM Expo & Cepomac, Messe Essen believes the new trade exhibition will help industry professionals make new connections and will give them new ideas to grow their business in a country whose horticultural potential is huge.

“Ornamental Plants & Flowers MEXICO will be the new strategic meeting place for horticulture in North and Central America. As such, we will offer European exhibitors the path into a highly interesting market”, said Messe Essen director Oliver Kurt who added that the Mexican event is the fourth offshoot of IPM ESSEN which already has expanded into China, Russia and the United Arab Emirates.

A new, professional trade show for ornamental horticulture is truly filling a gap in the market as the last serious attempt to organise such an event dates back from November 2010.
