Next week from 28 January to 31 January 2025, IPM ESSEN will once again establish itself as the leading international trade fair for horticulture. Approved by AIPH, this year’s event will again be hosted in Essen, Germany; this premier event serves as a central platform for professionals across the green industry to exchange knowledge, explore innovations, and strengthen business connections.
IPM ESSEN remains the world’s most significant meeting point for horticulture professionals, bringing together exhibitors and visitors from all continents and covering the entire sector—including plants, technology, floristry, and garden features—the fair offers an unparalleled opportunity to discover the latest products, solutions, and trends.
More than 1,400 exhibitors from around 50 countries will present a wide array of innovations, ranging from advanced machinery and automation systems to new plant varieties developed through pioneering breeding technologies.

AIPH International Grower of the Year 2024 Winner: Greenwood Plants, UK.
The AIPH International Grower of the Year 2025 Award Ceremony is on 28 January. It is an evening gala event celebrating best practices in horticultural production by ornamental production nurseries around the globe. This year, there are ten finalists, and the winner will be announced by award host Michael Perry, better known as Mr Plant Geek, and Sirekit Mol, Head of Commercial Operations for Beekenkamp Plants BV.
The Show Your Colours Award will be presented in Hall 8 in cooperation with Bizz Holland. It celebrates exceptional marketing concepts for plants, encouraging creative storytelling.
The Innovation Showcase will be located in Hall 4 at the Infocenter Gartenbau. It will present the latest plant novelties, looking at cutting-edge plant breeding and new varieties. The winners are announced during the opening ceremony on the first day of the fair.
The Green Cities Europe Award in Hall 7 will spotlight innovative projects from European cities that focus on incorporating green products and sustainable practices into urban planning. It highlights the vital role of horticulture in creating greener, more sustainable urban environments. In 2025, IPM ESSEN will host the award ceremony for the first time.
