MILTON, Canada: According to the Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA), the inaugural Garden Centres Canada Summit, held in July, was a huge success with a bus load of retail participants from six provinces. The two-day event included touring four unique garden centres and hearing from four inspirational and thought-provoking speakers.
Together, this combination provided participants with an opportunity to mingle with like-minded individuals, take time to process their own relevance and reflect on the value of their garden centre. It is this type of event that allows for brain storming, sharing, problem solving, and inspiration. Next year the GCC committee is looking at Vancouver, BC, Saskatoon, SK or Edmonton, AB. Keep an eye on the Provincial association website, and CNLA updates for the official announcement.
