VALENCIA, Spain: Spain’s horticultural trade exhibition Iberflora joins the never-ending list of cancelled and postponed events this year. Event organiser Feria Valencia announces that the 2020 edition of Spain’s iconic trade show will shift from a physical to a virtual event.

Too much uncertainty surrounding the trade show industry and a flare-up of Covid-19 cases across Europe made Feria Valencia decide to move the exhibition to 5-7 October 2021, more or less coinciding with the Dutch amenity plant show GrootGroenPlus in the Netherlands (6-8 October 2021).

Orginally set to take place from 6-8 October 2020, in Valencia’s Feria Valencia convention centre, Iberflora is now developing its virtual Iberflora Digital Business event, which will be accessible online from 6 October to 15 November 2020 offering online trade directories, and virtual catalogues.

Founded in 1972 with its inaugural edition taking place in Valencia’s municipal gardens, the Jardines de los Viveros Municipales (with a modest indoor venue for cut flower displays), Iberflora 2019 atttraced 470 exhibitors showing their latest products and services to 13,114 trade visitors walking the aisles on a 14,745 m2 show floor.
