Hasfarm and FleuraMetz announce joint venture in China

Hasfarm and FleuraMetz last week announced an expansion of their relationship through the establishment of a joint venture.

Founded in 1994 in Dalat, Vietnam, today’s Dalat Hasfarm is a cutting producer and a supplier of finished potted plants and fresh cut flowers. The flower farm stands out for its properly designed supply chain strategy, being active in propagation, production, retail, marketing, logistics and export markets with 2012 marking the opening of its China branch: Kunming Hasfarm.

FleuraMetz, celebrating its 50th anniversary last year, is an auction-based floral wholesaler with a revenue of around €400 million and supplies 40,000 florists through its network of 60 cash and carry stores across Europe and its online sales system for its customer base in Europe and North America.

By pooling their resources and expertise in IT and marketing,  Dalat Hasfarm and FleuraMetz will combine Asian grown ornamentals with flowers and foliage from FleuraMetz’ Preferred Suppliers in Europe, South-America and Africa. As such the Hasfarm FleuraMetz joint venture wants to offer Chinese florists and retailers a one stop shopping source.

Operating from its Shanghai-based distribution centre Hasfarm FleuraMetz Flowers Ltd. will make its debut at the 19th  Kunming International Flower Expo in China to be held at the Kunming Dianchi International Convention Centre from July 12-14, 2019.
