GreenTech opts for a dual format

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands: Trade show organiser RAI Amsterdam has informed exhibitors that its trade show GreenTech will take place using a different format in 2020.  The organiser believes that there is ‘enough traction in the horticulture industry’ to organise an alternative GreenTechLive&Online event.

Originally set to take place from 8-10 June 2020 at the Amsterdam RAI convention centre and, subsequently moved to 20-22 October, GreenTech is now developing the concept for a dual event in light of the challenges faced by exhibition organisers this year. The exhibition will be back to its normal format in 2021, when “the world has regained itself and normalised as expected.”  GreenTech’s  new 2021 dates will be announced later.

Set to take place around GreenTech’s October 2020 dates is an event combining physical and virtual components. That means face-2-face interaction with experts, market leaders, prospects and clients in a safe environment at RAI Amsterdam and an online programme focussing on the online horticulture professional worldwide (live broadcasting, panel sessions, in-depth technical presentations, matchmaking etc.). Further details are expected to be announced later this month. GreenTechLive&Online will also host the first virtual GreenTech 2020 Innovation Awards.
