Great Lakes Floral Association announces new addition to board of directors

HASLETT, USA: The Great Lakes Floral Association (GLFA), a multi-state full-service trade organisation representing more than 400 florists, growers, wholesalers, and 150 Certified Florist (CF) in Haslett, today announced the expansion of its board of directors, appointing Heather Waits as its new director of Region 8, which covers the state of Ohio. Waits is the proprietor of Bloomtastic Florist, Columbus, OH. 

Her term will expire in December of 2023 at which time she will be eligible to run for another term.

Her family roots run deep in the nursery business, but she found her passion in cut flowers and entrepreneurship.  Her goal is to create a floral industry that is an attractive, positive career choice for generations to come, and to educate florists on how to be creative and profitable.  Waits is thrilled to join GLFA commenting, “I’m incredibly honored and look forward to meeting everyone!  The GLFA has a bright future ahead and I am excited to be a part of it!”
