German perennial seed supplier Jelitto to launch its new catalogue

German perennial seed supplier Jelitto Staudensamen highlights its new BeeFoxy series comprising six F1 hybrid varieties of Digitalis purpurea as an absolute showstopper in its new catalogue, which will soon roll off the press.

Whether perennial growers are seeking the tried and tested or the coolest and newest, the catalogue helps them to make informed decisions and keep abreast of the latest product developments in perennials.

An absolute highlight is Jelitto’s BeeFoxy series, now available through the Jet-Seeds breeding programme. The series includes compact foxglove plants with healthy, uniform foliage and striking, brightly-colored flowers.

Jet-Seeds technology ensures that the grower receives super clean seed with no pelleting or coating needed for easy machine sowing and fast germination.

The new BeeFoxy series competes with series such as Camelot, Dottie or Dalmation, which, the company claims are less compact in growth habit.

The six BeeFoxy varieties are easy to germinate and first-year flowering. No vernalisation is  needed. Sow BeeFoxy in February for flowering plants in July.

BeeFoxy is aptly named as flowering plants are genuine magnets for pollinators.

At a height of about 24 inches/60cm, these BeeFoxy beauties are perfect for the middle of the border, flowering container plants, and as a cut, are great to fill a vase or make a bouquet.

The series includes the cultivars ’Foxybee Pink’, ’Foxybee Cream’, ’Foxybee White’, ’Foxybee Dark Red’, ’Foxybee Apricot’, and ’Foxybee Dark Pink’.
