NOORDWIJK, Netherlands: Elite Flowers has acquired Dutch-owned but Ecuador based rose farm Qualisa. Peter van der Deijl, owner and managing director of Qualisa is happy to have found an industry partner who he knows shares the same family values and will take the company to the next level.

Van der Deijl’s official statement reads, “We strongly believe that with this transaction, our customers, co-workers, and brand will be treasured and will continue in the business for many decades. There couldn’t be a better time to sell our farms than right now. Business has been good, and the farms are at their best, thanks to a fantastic team. Elite Flower will continue to grow the highest quality clients have come to appreciate and trust over the last three decades. We are confident that under the Elite Flower flag new opportunities will unfold. We would like thank all our business relationships for their trust and commitment to our company during all these years.”

Qualisa is a dutch owned Ecuadorian company that has been committed to producing high-quality cut roses and was established by the family Van der Deijl in 1992.

Founded in 1991 by the late industry pioneer Peter Hannaford, The Elite Flower has grown from a small rose farm in Colombia to nearly 700 hectares spanning the world. Despite this rapid growth and scale, Elite Flowers still remains a privately owned family farm.
