In celebration of the Netherlands’ annual open day for greenhouse horticulture, more generally known as Kom in de Kas (Welcome to our Greenhouse), Dutch Hydrangea breeder and grower Van Klaveren Plant commissioned graffiti artist Sander Bosman, owner of www.lakaanalles.nl to paint a dull roadside power box in Kudelstaart, turning it into a colourful piece of Hydrangea-inspired streetart.
Bosman brightened up two roadside power boxes. Cacti grower Ubink, a Kudelstaart resident too, also got creative with a junction box you see everywhere.
Sinds 2015, street artists have turned these structures in the streets of Kudelstaart and Aalsmeer into amazing pieces of floral art, replacing lifeless grey with flowers in a rainbow of colours. This year another six floral murals are scheduled for the Burgemeester Kastelein road in Aalsmeer.
